R&D - Particle number measurement solution

At the AUTO PROOF / AMT LIVE exhibition in Gorinchem, Netherlands, CAPELEC revealed a PN number particle measurement solution with the advantage of quickly, easily and reliably detecting EURO5 and EURO6 vehicles with defective or tampered particles filters.
 

The Netherlands is part of a European group called NPTI, which is working on this subject. After an initial successful investigation campaign carried out by the GOCA in Belgium, the Netherlands decided to start a roadside inspection phase in 2020, and is considering this type of test as part of the periodic technical inspection as of 2021. Belgium and then Germany are expected to follow in these footsteps.
